The theme this year is “Queers of all ages” and you can expect diverse entertainment, educational- and cultural events catered for different age groups.
Reykjavik Pride has been an annual event in Reykjavik since 1999, but the history goes back to 1993 when Icelandic gays and lesbians first gathered in the city center demanding freedom and human rights.
This cozy little pride, originally visited by some fifteen hundred onlookers, has blossomed and evolved into a colorful six day celebration that attracts over 100 thousand guests from all over the world. Reykjavik Pride is, in fact, the biggest annual event in Iceland and probably “the biggest small Pride” in the world.
Four years ago we created a sparkling batch of chocolate, devoted to supporting every single color of the human rainbow. We have been proud sponsors of Reykjavik Pride here in Iceland ever since.
HAPPY REYKJAVÍK PRIDE!!!
