Bye Bye Bye 2020
We are thankful that the year has come to an end; after all, it has been one helluva roller coaster!
Even though we look forward to saying goodbye to this year, we are forever grateful for the support and love you have shown us this past year.
As we look back on the ups and downs, we can say for sure, despite the world slowing down in early 2020, this has been an eventful year for us here at Omnom. We launched our Love Collection just in time for Valentines’, and our beloved Mr. Carrots came back to visit our Icelandic chocoholics by popular demand.
During the summertime, Icelanders got a bit of a break from the pandemic, and we were able to enjoy a reasonably regular summer, traveling the country and enjoying the Icelandic summer night with our tongue twister of a chocolate SuperChocoBerryBarleyNibblyNuttylicious.
Hollywood came knocking in July, when Netflix aired the documentary series, Down to Earth with Zac Efron. The first episode focused on Iceland, and we were so lucky to get a visit from Zac and Darin Olien a couple of years earlier when they were filming their show here. Suffice to say, this was the summer of Zac, and the show’s response was out of this world.
We got requests from people from across the globe, and sales in our US online shop alone, that first week after the show aired increased by almost 30.000%!
We also opened up a quaint little Ice Cream parlor in the fall, which has taken Icecreamland by storm. We can not wait to welcome you all with open arms once life is back to normal.
We launched our delicious 2020 Winter Collection in October along with a new product, the Omnom Advent Confectionary box. Despite increasing our production of the Winter Collection line up by 182%, it sold out in early December just like last year.
The advent box was also such a smashing success, and we could not keep up with the demand. We look forward to sharing it with you again next year.
In November, we celebrated our 7th anniversary, and we are so thrilled to be a fast-growing start-up company. We are eternally thankful for all the fantastic people who work with us and, of course, for you guys! We couldn’t have done any of this without you.
